As per By-law 26 any Bangladeshi Buddhist national aged above 18 is eligible for membership of Bangladesh Buddhist Foundation. Membership is of two categories –
- 1. Donor Member and Life Member. Donor member will have to pay a contribution of Taka 4,000.
- 2. Life member will have to pay a contribution of Taka 2,000.
As per By-law 27 any Buddhist national from outside Bangladesh and any non-Buddhist national from within or outside Bangladesh will be eligible for membership in compliance with payment of contribution as stated in by-law 26. But members of this category will not be eligible for membership on executive committee or Board of Trustee and will not enjoy the privilege of voting rights.
As per by-law 28 no Buddhist Monk or Nun will be eligible for membership of Bangladesh Buddhist Foundation. But a Buddhist Monk or Nun or any non-clerical, public-spirited individual as per By-law 30 can pay a donation of a minimum of Taka 50,000/- for memorial/talent scholarship to become a donor of Bangladesh Buddhist Foundation without enjoying the privilege of voting right.
